Deltans Have Accepted To Voting For Governor Oborevwori Till 2031 Hon. Emakpor Odogu.

A chieftain of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State and the Spokesperson of Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff, Hon. Emakpor Odogu popular known as I Have a Dream has said that the people of Delta State has accepted to re-elect Elder Sheriff Oborevwori till 2031.

He made this known during a Bumper Breakfast Live programme on MITV in Lagos recently.

According to him, “the Urhobos, Isokos, Aniomas, Itsekiris and Ijaws ethnic nationalities has all accepted to re-elect Elder Sheriff Oborevwori till 2031”.

Hon. Odogu noted that, “I am the Spokesperson of Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff, (it is the unification of Isoko Ethnic Nationality for Sheriff) we have taken our stance for Governor Oborevwori. And other ethnic groups have all unified to say Sheriff till 2031”.

He affirmed that, whoever is defecting to the opposition party APC in Delta could only be doing that for other personal interest, but if it is because of the governorship, Deltans have resolved it is Sheriff till 2031. Whatever they are doing is an exercise in futility, he stated.

“The reasons we are not perturbed by some people who just decamped to the All Progressives Congress in Delta State is because we know the mood of the masses. Our Governor is from the same ethnic group with Great Ovedje Ogboru who just defected to APC and Chief Ovie Omo Agege the former governorship candidate of APC in 2023 governorship election. During the 2023 governorship election, we the other ethnic groups felt that, the governorship has not come to Okpe, Sapele and Uvwie (OSU) part of the Urhobo(Delta Central) and we elected Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for inclusiveness. Even in 2027 the governorship will still remain in the OSU axis of Delta Central.

He added that “Delta State is traditionally PDP, the Governor that we have today is performing excellently well, even the blind is seeing what he is doing in the state”.

When he was questioned on the possibility of the Governor defecting to the APC, he stated that the Governor of Delta State Elder Sheriff Oborevwori has made clear that he will not join the APC, that those who were carrying the rumour of the governor defection were doing that in ignorance.

The Spokesperson for Okugbe Isoko for Sheriff also said that, oftentime the President has applauded the performance of Elder Sheriff Oborevwori in Delta State, saying that the Governor Oborevwori has admonished Deltans to support President Bola Tinubu to succeed because God has placed both of them in their various positions. All we need is to support them.

He stressed that, “The generality of the people in Delta State believe in the governor excellent performance not that he is coercing them. All the ethnic groups in Delta State are saying it is Sheriff till 2031”.
